Welcome to the Dominator Pro — your professional-grade CNC platform, built for power, precision, and upgradeability. This article covers essential operating instructions to get you started, stay safe, and ensure consistent performance with every job.
✅ Before You Power On
Make sure the following is completed before using the machine:
-
✅ Machine is fully assembled per the Dominator Pro Build Series on YouTube
-
✅ VFD and spindle are installed, wired, and properly configured
-
✅ All motion cables (X/Y/Z and spindle) are securely connected
-
✅ Air supply is connected (if using ATC or air assist features)
-
✅ Emergency stop (E-stop) and limit switches tested
-
✅ Masso controller (or other) is powered, configured, and communicating with the machine
🟢 Starting the Machine
1. Power On Sequence
-
Turn on your main power source
-
Ensure air compressor is running (if ATC or air-based accessories are used)
-
Wait for the Masso controller to initialize and display its main screen
-
	Release the E-stop (if pressed)
2. Reference Axes
-
Use the Masso UI to “Home All Axes”
This sets the machine’s origin using limit switches.
🧰 Jogging & Setup
-
Use the jog keys or on-screen controls to move each axis.
-
Load your material and secure it using clamps or vacuum.
-
Set the tool length (via touch plate or Tool Setter if equipped)
-
Set your work origin (X, Y, Z zero)
🌀 Spindle Operation
-
Spindle is controlled via Masso (M3/M5) or VFD front panel
-
RPM is set via PWM or analog voltage — typically 0.10–10.00V
Make sure your spindle has been broken in before cutting:

🔄 Running Jobs
-
Load G-code onto Masso (via USB or network)
-
Confirm tool and work offset are correct
-
Hit Cycle Start on the Masso interface
-
Monitor the job — use the E-stop if needed
🛠️ After the Job
-
	Turn off spindle (M5)
-
	Retract Z-axis safely
-
	Vacuum or wipe down bed
-
Turn off air supply and power if done for the day
🧼 Maintenance Checklist
